Jeff’s GPP Core- Week 1

For those of you who are new to DFS or for those of you who just need a reminder, here is information on stacking:

In the infancy of DFS football, I used to pair a QB and a pass catcher and it was considered cutting edge.  Fast forward to today and it is an extremely rare occurrence to see a large field GPP winner without some sort of pairing or stack.  We are now in the age where it is common to double stack (QB with 2 pass catchers) and to game stack (multiple players from both teams).  In this case we are basically looking for the game to go back and forth and turn into a shootout.  Taking it a step further, you can even stack a complete team (QB, RB, multiple pass catchers).  Typically, the thought has been that having a QB/WR combination and RB from the same team would be an inverse relationship and that ones production would impede the other.  However, if the game does truly shootout, then it is possible there is enough points to go around for everybody.

Each week when I am building my core, I have both team stacks and games stacks in mind.

It is rare that I will own a QB “naked” meaning without any pass catchers. The only time I would do this would be with a running QB who I believe has the possibility to run a couple of scores in himself.
