Jeff’s Betting Picks- Week 10

Mike Williams over 60.5 receiving yards (-115)

Picking on the Vikings secondary has behouved us greatly this season, including last week’s smash over for Marquise Brown.  Williams has been silent lately after exploding for 80+ yards in four of their first five games.  Keep in mind he saw a lot of Darius Slay last week on the perimeter and the Patriots the week before.  This week he will get the opportunity to have Cam Dantzler and Bashaud Breeland covering him on the perimeter.  Justin Herbert’s passing yard line is 292.5, and if he is close to that number Williams will easily exceed his number.

Chargers -3 over Vikings

I am not sure how this is just a field goal spread in this game.  The Vikings are coming across the country for their second straight road game following a tough overtime loss to the Ravens last week.  The Vikings (3-5) only wins have come against the Seahawks, Lions, and Panthers who have a combined 7 wins between them this season.  The Vikings secondary is so pathetic and among the worst in the league.  Justin Herbert will light them on fire.   The Chargers (5-3) are also coming back from across country, but at least they are home for this game and follow a big win on the road against the Eagles.    Their resume is much more impressive having lost to the Ravens, Cowboys, and Pats who have a combined 17 wins.  Mike Zimmer is on his last breath with the Vikings and this game could be one more nail in his coffin.

Mike Evans over 76.5 receiving yards (-115)

A lofty number for Evans, but Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski have already been ruled out, narrowing the target tree.  Chris Godwin is very questionable right now and even if he plays he might not be nearly 100% effective.  Washington allows a league most 286.8 yards/game through the air.  They sport two of the lowest ranked perimeter corners in the NFL as well in Benjamin St Juste and William Jackson.  When Tom Brady locks in on a WR, he normally peppers them with targets as we have seen with Godwin the last two weeks as he has had the better match-up.  In those two weeks, Evans has seen coverage from Marshawn Lattimore and Darius Slay, which explains his lack of production.  He will take the opportunity to erupt in this game as the easy #1 option in the Bucs offense.
