Jeff’s Hardcore Core- NFL Week 1

The time has finally arrived after several arduous weeks of waiting through the preseason, here we are friends WEEK 1!!!!  I hope you are enjoying our new website, it gives us much more room for all of our great NFL tools and articles.  I also hope all of your season long league drafts went well and you were able to use some of the articles I posted.  We are super excited for another NFL season.  The last several have been absolutely unbelievable for both Zach and I and also those of you who have been using our NFL information.  A six digit cash, a live final appearance, and an unbelievable cash game run last season have contributed to a very profitable last four years in DFS Football for us.  Before I dive into my strategy and picks for Week 1, I just wanted to stress a few key points about playing DFS and being successful and profitable playing DFS.  First of all, be sure your game selection is correct.  You are much better off entering 20 teams into a $1 20-max contest than you are 1 $20 team into a 150-max contest.  Give yourself a fighting chance and put yourself on an equal playing field with other entrants.  Your chances are very slim firing one bullet into a large field GPP where others are building a core and entering 150 teams.  DFS is hard enough, do not put yourself at a disadvantage right out of the gate.  Also, on game selection, be sure to play cash games.  These are going to be your consistent bankroll builder.  GPPs are good for the big score, but they come very infrequently.  Play a mix of cash games vs GPPs that you feel comfortable with, I would recommend 70% Cash Games, 30% GPPs.  Finally, bankroll management.  I realize it is week 1 and I am every bit as fired up as you are, but that does not mean we shoot our wad right out of the gate.  The key to staying in DFS as long as we have with golf and football is just that, staying in the game.  Bad weeks are inevitable, but if we only allow ourselves to lose a fraction of our bankroll, we stay in the game and allow ourselves those winning weeks that allow us to stay profitable.  I recommend wagering no more than 15%-20% of your total annual bankroll in any given week.  If you adhere to some basic rules, it makes it much easier to be a successful and profitable DFS player.  Onto Week 1.
