Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Super Bowl 49ers vs Chiefs

My final football column of the 2019-2020 season and pretty appropriate it is a Showdown Slate, because we have had so much success with this type of contest this season.  I haven’t yet totaled winnings for Showdown slates this season, but it is at least $70k.  I am going to try with every ounce of my being to make it $1,070,000 after the Super Bowl.  Of course I am referring to the $1M top prize for the big $10 GPP.  Obviously it’s payout structure is horrendous ($150k to 2nd), but hey it’s a shot at a million bucks, so why not dream a little.

When the line for the game was released the Chiefs came out as 1 point favorites, which was right where I had the game at.  I have seen a little fluctuation from the opening line up to 1.5, but not a ton of movement.  Let me assure you the sportsbooks aren’t wrong on many super bowls, because there is just so much money involved.  For that reason, I really like analyzing the proposition bets that are out there very closely, because again the sportsbooks are deadly accurate for this game.  The game total sits at 54.5, which is higher than I predicted.  A high scoring game is expected, which I would say significantly favors the Chiefs.

I hope you have enjoyed my columns throughout this season and that you made a few bucks along the way.  Best of luck for the Super Bowl my friends!
