Jeff’s Hardcore Core- Main Slate Week 18

The final week of the season, whether it is week 17 as it has in the past or now week 18,  is a little bit more involved than other weeks during the season.  This week involves scenarios where some teams need a win to either make the playoffs or better their playoff position.   Other teams have already locked up a position within the playoffs that cannot be improved upon.  Then you have the teams that are eliminated from everything and are just playing for pride (or individual player contract bonuses).  You need to know every team’s intentions and whether they are going to be going all out to win and whether the players you include on your rosters are going to be playing the entire game.  I have researched every teams scenario and based upon my findings I have left out any players who I believe will not being seeing the field for the entire game.  There are a few cases where it is not exactly clear whether a team will find it important to move up in seeding and there is question as to if they will go all out.  I try to avoid players if there is any question, because it would be death to a roster if a player only played a partial game.  Also, needed to be considered are player contact incentives.  There are some huge contract bonuses for some players if they hit certain marks.  I took a looked into those contact incentives and found a couple that I believe are enough to make sure the players are going all out.
