JohnnyV NFL Pick – Week 11

We are going to get this pick out early again this week even though it burned us last week. Matthew Stafford had not missed a start since 2010 and all week he was questionable and limited in practice. It was not until late Friday that the Lions finally let on as to the severity of his injury and that it would be a game time decision on his status. By late Saturday his availability was in doubt and then by Sunday he was finally ruled out. Now, the NFL is actually investigating the Lions to see if there was any sort of misconduct in the reporting of Stafford’s injury status. It was an unfortunate break for us as the Lions nearly won the game with Jeff Driskel leading the team and I am fairly certain with as well as Stafford has played this season that it would have been a Lions win had he been able to go for the week. That brings me to 33-12 since the start of the 2017 season, but not much consolation for a frustrating loss.
