JohnnyV Pick – Week 16

We’re going back to the basics this week. The Rams were pummeled against the Cowboys last week in a game where most of the public money was moving on the Rams. It was a strange game in that the Rams seemed to have found their stride in coming into the game and the Cowboys were flailing at all levels and had struggled against good teams both on the road as well as at home, but the Rams unraveled early and it was never close which makes for the absolute worst sweat when watching your money gone and there is still a half left to play.

Unfortunately, over short stretches, these are the sort of ups and downs that we will have to contend with when it comes to betting on NFL games. Over time, there are going to be some losing streaks (and winning streaks). Currently, I am on a 4 game skid which is obviously frustrating for me, you the subscribers, and the guys here at FGI who brought me aboard and gave me a platform this season. I am sure that it is discouraging that things have gone poorly so far, but this is why bankroll management is so important when betting on games. You really should not be betting more than around 5% of your bankroll in a given week and even that is aggressive by most standards. I am sure that many of the newer folks here have lost faith, but over the last few years, my followers have done very well and I am not going to change up my process now or try to get too aggressive in my plays. This losing streak will pass. I hope you will ride it out with me.
