Monday Night Showdown Slate- Bears @ Steelers

Lines:

Bears @ Steelers (-7)

O/U = 40

DVOA

Steelers against the run #6
Steelers against the pass #15
Bears against the run #24
Bears against the pass #13

Notes:

David Montgomery is a question mark as to whether he will play.  Matt Nagy said “there is a really good chance he will play”.  We are just going to have to wait and see. Even if he does play, the Steelers have a stout run defense and the game script is not in his favor.

Favorites:

Najee Harris, $12,400

  • Has emerged as one of the leagues most consistent and best fantasy backs this season (at least 21 DK points in each of his last five games).
  • A huge amount of volume lately with 73 carries and 15 targets the last three games.
  • Bears have been lousy against the run ranking #24 DVOA, plus game script would have Harris getting a lot of carries.

Diontae Johnson, $11,200

  • Outside of the Denver game, Johnson averages over 12 targets per game.
  • Bears have allowed the 5th most DK points to WRs this season.

Value:

Allen Robinson, $7,200

  • A complete non-factor this year. Does have the best cornerback match-up in the slot, where he plays the majority of the time against Arthur Maulet.
  • Bears will likely need to pass a lot in coming from behind in this one.

Pat Freiermuth, $7,000

  • Ebron is out, so he will see all the looks at TE.
  • 7 targets in each of the last two games. (12.8 and 14.4 DK points)

James Washington, $5,200

  • A quiet last two weeks, but should be seeing more targets with JuJu out.
  • A desirable salary for an additional Steeler.

Sleepers:

Cole Kmet, $5,800

  • Targets have been up lately (5,6,6).
  • Fields likely will not have the time to throw downfield a ton in this game, leaving short over the middle routes more likely.

Deep Sleeper:

Steelers Defense, $5,000

  • I do not often own defenses in Showdown, but as part of a Steeler onslaught in this game it makes sense.
  • Fields is struggling as is the entire Bears offense. If the Steelers get ahead right away, they will put pressure on Fields and force TOs.

Possible lineups:

C- Harris, D Johnson, J Washington, Steelers, Kmet, Bosell

C- Steelers, D Johnson, Harris, Robinson, Kmet, J Washington

C- Harris, Robinson, Kmet, Wahshington, Freiermuth, Steelers
