Monday Night Showdown Slate- Raiders @ Chargers

Lines:

Raiders @ Chargers (-3)

o/u = 51.5

2020 DVOA

Raiders against the run #28
Raiders against the pass #26
Chargers against the run #26
Chargers against the pass #17

Josh Jacobs is listed as questionable and going to be a game-time decision.  If he is ruled out, then we need to fire up Petyon Barber who had 111 yards rushing and a TD last week on 23 carries.  If however Jacobs is active, then Barber does not make sense, especially at his salary.

Favorites:

Justin Herbert, 11,200

  • Two 300+ games and six TDs.
  • Last year against the Raiders he threw for 640 yards and four TDs with a rushing score as well.

Darren Waller, $9,200

  • Ties for 2nd in targets in the NFL (33) and 3rd in redzone targets (7).
  • Ripped the Chargers for 14 catches for 172 yards and 2 TDs last week.

Keenan Allen, $8,800

  • Tied for 2nd in the NFL in targets (33) and 1st in redzone targets (9)
  • 22, 17.8, and 19 DK points.
  • Positive touchdown regression coming.
  • Casey Hayward will likely be on Mike Williams most of the time as he never travels to the slot.

Value:

Henry Ruggs, $9,600

  • Chris Harris will man the slot for the Chargers, so he will see coverage from Asante Samuel and Michael Davis on the perimeter.
  • Always a big play threat, but also seen volume with 19 targets through 3 weeks.

Josh Jacobs, $7,600

  • If he is active, he has a nice match-up against the Chargers who rank #26 DVOA and have allowed the 4th most DK points to RBs.
  • Scored a TD in each of the two games vs the Chargers last year.

Bryan Edwards, $7,500

  • Plays the opposite side from Ruggs, and has 10 catches for 210 yards on 13 targets.
  • Likely will get more volume than Ruggs, but does not possess the big play ability.

Sleepers:

Jalen Guyton, $3,600

  • Chargers #3 receiver has 8 targets this season. (5 catches for 62 yards.
  • Not going to be heavily targeted, but capable of a big play.

Chargers Defense, $3,200

  • 10 DK points vs the Chiefs last week.
  • I realize Derek Carr has been really good so far, but part of me still doesn’t trust him.
  • Super cheap price and a good option for an onslaught Chargers stack.

Possible lineups:

C- Allen, Herbert, Guyton Jacobs, Waller, Ruggs

C- Allen, Herbert, Cook, Waller, Ruggs, Edwards

C- Herbert, Allen, Ekeler, Guyton, Ruggs, Edwards
