Sunday Night Showdown Slate Article – Packers vs Chiefs

Welcome to one of the marquee games of the season as Aaron Rodgers travels to Kansas City for what will likely be his one time playing Patrick Mahomes on the road! Oh, wait, Mahomes dislocated his knee cap? Out for the week? And who is starting in his place? They obviously must have signed somebody solid since he’s such a key part of the KC offensive. Matt Moore, you say? Okay, well that’s a body.

In all seriousness, once you get past the disappointment of not having Mahomes in this game, there are still quite a few interesting storylines to work with. Both teams lead their division, but both are dealing with some significant injuries. Davante Adams is doubtful for the Packers as he has been nursing a turf toe injury the last few weeks. Both MVS and Geronimo Allison were a little beat up going into the game with the Raiders last week, but were off the injury report by the end of the week.
