Sunday Night Showdown Slate- Cowboys @ Vikings

Lines:

Cowboys @ Vikings (-3)

O/U = 52

DVOA

Vikings against the run #24
Vikings against the pass #3
Cowboys against the run #15
Cowboys against the pass #10

Favorites:

Dak Prescott, $11,200

  • An MVP start to the year, Dak has only one game under 21 DK points and that was the only game he had less than 3 TD passes.
  • The Vikings secondary has struggled mightily this season against good QBs (Murray, Burrow, and Wilson) allowing 998 yards and 6 TDs.
  • It sounds like he will be active, although he is listed as questionable. Obviously be on the lookout prior to the game to make sure.

Justin Jefferson, $10,000

  • Huge volume every week, he has averaged 10 targets per game this season.
  • He has eclipsed 100 yads in 2 games and scored 3 TDs.
  • He will have Diggs shadow covering him, which is not ideal, but Jefferson is too good to be shut down.

Dalvin Cook, $9,400

  • A bit of a bizarre price for Cook this week as he is only the 5th highest priced guy.
  • Dallas has allowed the 5th fewest rushing yards per game (86), but Dalvin will see 20 + carries.
  • In week 6 he rushed 29 times for 140 yards and TD.
  • Health is always a concern, but he is coming off a bye week, so he should be fresh.
  • Cook remains the centerpiece of this offense, Vikes are a home favorite, so he will be in the Captain spot on 30-40% of my rosters.

Cee Dee Lamb, $9,800

  • I wrote up Lamb all over the place this preseason with high hopes for a big year. For the most part he has delivered so far with 33 catches for 497 yards and 4 TDs.
  • The Vikings secondary is a mess with massive liability Bashaud Breeland who Lamb could get coverage from at least half the time.
  • Averaging 8 targets a game and Michael Gallup not expected to be active, Lamb remains the primary target in the Cowboys receiving game.

Value:

Ezekiel Elliott, $9,200

  • There really is not much for offerings in the mid range for price this week, but just like Cook, Elliott appears underpriced for his volume and ceiling.
  • Since week 1 he has averaged 18 carries/game and nearly 23 DK points.
  • He has his largest receiving game in Week 6 with 7 catches for 50 yards on 9 targets.
  • Typically a QB and RB are not a correlating play, but if you build a game script of the Vikings getting ahead and the Cowboys coming from behind, I have not problem stacking Dak and Zeke.

Sleepers:

Tyler Conklin, $4,400

  • At least 3 targets and 2 catches in each game this season for Conklin.
  • Week 6 he had 3/71 and went off in week 3 for 7/70/1, so potential is there.
  • Cowboys have been weak against the TE allowing the 8th most DK points.

Cedrick Wilson, $4,000

  • Michael Gallup is not expected to return, which keeps Wilson in the Cowboys #3 spot at WR.
  • In Gallup’s absence he has been averaging 3-4 targets per game, with his season high coming last game with 7 (4/42)
  • Salary relief if you are rostering Dak and works as a nice correlation play with Cook.

Deep Sleeper- Noah Brown, $1,000

Possible lineups:

C- Cook, Conklin, Osborn, Prescott, Lamb, Wilson

C- Elliott, Lamb, Jefferson, Cook, Conklin, Brown

C- Cook, Elliott, Cooper, Thielen, Osborn, Pollard

C- Prescott, Lamb, Cook, Jefferson, Jarwin, Brown
