Sunday Night Showdown Slate- Titans @ Rams

Lines:

Titans @ Rams (-7.5)

O/U = 53.5

DVOA

Titans against the run #28
Titans against the pass #14
Rams against the run #18
Rams against the pass #8

Notes:

AJ Brown was added to the injury list on Friday after practicing in full on Wednesday and Thursday.  This is obviously troubling.  So much depends upon whether Brown plays.  If he does not, then I like to mix in Julio Jones and a couple other real cheap Titan receivers that I list below.  If Brown is healthy, then he is a monster and I like him with the given game script of the Titans playing from behind.  Make sure to watch closely whether he plays or not.

Favorites:

Matthew Stafford, $12,800

  • Smash spot for the Rams passing game against the Titans porous secondary that allows the 9th most passing yards per game (267.4)
  • Titans also allow the 5th most DK pts per game to QBs
  • Stafford has thrown at least 2 TDs in all but one game this year and 3 or more in five games.

Cooper Kupp, $12,400

  • Clearly Stafford’s favorite target, Kupp has at least 9 targets in every single game this year.
  • He also leads the NFL in redzone targets (20) with the 2nd most at only 17.
  • Titans allow the most DK points to opposing WRs this season and are getting obliterated through the air.

Robert Woods, $8,600

  • A bit of a price break from Kupp, Woods doesn’t get as many targets, but he still gets a ton (34 the last four games).
  • Tied for 4th in the NFL in red zone targets with 15.

Value:

Van Jefferson, $6,800

  • Big play threat that could blow away value with one deep ball.
  • Has three TDs this season and actually seen a decent amount of targets.

Adrian Peterson, $3,000

  • The only other RB on the roster is Mcnichols, so Peterson should get some looks.
  • Normally I am concerned about guys coming off the street and immediately playing, and I do have some concern here, but AP is a freak of nature and I cant see him allowing himself to get out of shape.
  • My concern however is game script. AP has never been a good pass catching back.  If the Rams get ahead big, how many carries will there be to have had by the Titans? I have a little exposure, but not a ton.

Sleepers:

Tyler Higbee, $5,600

  • Not exactly a big play option, but affordable options in this Rams offense are few and far between.
  • Higbee has seen at least 3 targets in each of his last three games. And caught 13 balls.

Deep Sleepers:

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, $2,200

  • If Brown is out, then Westbrook could see some some more targets as he did with Julio out last week . (2/16/1).
  • Obviously a deep punt play, but this game is tough to find cheap options.

Josh Reynolds, $400

  • Revenge game!
  • Sporadic volume this year, but again if Brown is out, then he could get some targets.

Possible lineups:

C- Stafford, Higbee, Woods, Jefferson, Henderson, Reynolds

C- Kupp, Woods, Stafford, Higbee, Firkser, Peterson

C- Woods, Stafford, Brown, Peterson, Rams, Higbee
