The Daily Spin – NFL Cash Game Edition – Divisional Playoffs

The new wild card weekend was tremendous fun. With back to back triple headers, my weekend was set and all the slates worked out really well. I managed to cash the Saturday Only, Sunday Only and Sat/Sun Slate for a clean sweep and there really was not much of a sweat along the way. I did it while dodging a zero on each team as Corey Davis (2 teams) and John Brown (1 team) were surprise busts in games where I did not really even think they were speculative plays. Fortunately, I did not play Ronald Jones who was a surprise scratch for the Bucs. I also avoided Rob Gronkowski, another popular play that posted a zero.

Outside of that, I felt like I followed the script I laid out pretty closely. I stuck with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson at QB, had heavy exposure to obvious plays in Alvin Kamara and Cam Akers at RB along with Stefon Diggs and Michael Thomas at WR and Logan Thomas and Eric Ebron at TE. Michael Pittman worked out great as a punt play on a couple of rosters. I mixed in James Conner, Marquise Brown and Diontae Johnson onto my Sunday Only team and I was in great shape for the weekend. With playoff short slates, I do not second guess myself too much. Hopefully, you isolate the best plays going in and do not miss out on the one or two chalk players at high dollar range that you just could not quite afford. You have to take more chances in the playoffs, but typically, a stars and scrubs approach is the best strategy as even a zero does not kill your team so long you hit your star plays well.
