It gets tough to be positive when an injury strikes early on a key player like it did for me with Juju last Sunday. He was in a great position to score plenty of points and had a couple of early catches, but sustained a concussion and left the game in the first half against the Jags. It was no fluke either. We have seen some players held out of games out of an overabundance of caution the last few weeks, but Juju is still sidelined this week in a key game so he definitely needed to be held out. Unfortunately, the rest of my team was unable to rally enough points together in double up contests and I fell about 7-10 DK points short of the cash line.

The Good

Justin Fields – He’s turning into a video game this season. He’s rushed for over 300 yards the last two games and over 40 DK points in both. The Bears are letting him do his thing and the offense is finally putting it all together. If he can become a little more of a passing threat, the Bears could be interesting to watch the next couple of years. It’s too bad they traded away their top two defensive players or they might really put some fear into good teams late in the season.

Amon-Ra St Brown – I knew if I stuck with him he would reward me again. If the Lions keep getting him double digit targets each week, he is going to put up some solid numbers. He went for 11/10/119/0 against the Bears last week and I think he’ll be back on track for a few more slate busting games this season, especially in games at hom indoors.

Tony Pollard – Super chalky play, but he still did his job in rushing for over 100 yards and a TD against the beleaguered Packers defense. Anytime Zeke is out, we will fire up Pollard as he’s delivered every time he’s been called on to be a three down RB.

Donovan Peoples-Jones – Five catches for 99 yards…one short of the bonus! At $4300, this was a great result for a WR that is very boom or bust as he relies on the deep ball to get his points as opposed to many of the volume WRs out there that get more reliable numbers of targets.

The Bad

Juju – Injured

Alvin Kamara – Without many options for offense for the Saints, I thought maybe they would be more reliant of Kamara. That was not the case at all as he caught all of three passes. With the offensive line of the Saints in shambles, I am going to have a tough time going back to Kamara unless he is playing against a particularly bad defense.

Greg Dulcich – Gross. It’s been a while since I’ve been crushed at the TE position and it was likely from teammate, Albert O in Week 2. The Broncos are just pathetic on offense this season. They have exceeded 20 points just twice this season, but Dulcich had been a steady contributor in three previous starts.

The Okay

Dameon Pierce rushed for 94 yards and had another 28 receiving yards, but did not find the endzone. He also lost a fumble. It was not an amazing result, but far from a killer and he had a good level of ownership so it certainly did not hurt me.

Cardinals – 8 points. My pivot hurt me here as originally I was all-in on the Vikings at $2200 who scored 10 late, miracle points that never should have happened. I think this was the right move with Josh Allen playing for Bills rather than Case Keenum.
