The Daily Spin – NFL Cash Games – Week 1
The Daily Spin – NFL Cash Games – Week 1
It is Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season and I could not be more excited. There are so many storylines to look forward to this year. The Lions are already leading the charge by showing that the hype was not too much for them to handle after beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Thursday night. Will this finally be the year they get over the hump? Will KC investing in bottom of the barrel pass catchers finally bring them back to the middle of the pack? I can’t wait to find out!
For all of my new readers, this column will focus on cash game plays each week. I will do my best to take on the optimizers out there all season and do everything I can to give you a little bit of an edge. I will do this by staying invested in the game, watching every minute of every game each week and trying to find ways to exploit small edges over our competitors. I’ve been very successful over the last four years with this column and you will always get transparency from me every week. I start each column off with a full analysis of the previous week’s lineup, my thought process behind each pick and what I did right and wrong. You will know at the end of the year exactly how often I won or lost. Go ahead and compare me with any of your other favorite analysts out there. I know who they are and have competed with them successfully for the last decade. The best part of our service is that you’ll get an in depth writeup every single week, amazing tools and a vibrant slack chat community and it won’t cost you $500 or $1000 like some of the other services out there. I won’t win every week, but I know that if you stick with me, you will be a better NFL DFS player by the end of the season.
The goal of cash games is to minimize mistakes. There are going to be a lot more chalk plays with my column than with the players that Jeff zeroes in on every week. He is looking for ownership edges that he can leverage. I am looking to pick and choose my spots when I decide to go against the field. I do not have hard and fast rules in building my team. There might be a situation where I even play a RB and WR from the same team! I might even play two pass catchers from the same team in the right circumstance. When I make that type of decision, I will try to outline it in a way so that you can see the rationale ahead of time. I will also be available regularly in the Slack chat to take any questions.
I don’t put out a list of ‘Must Start’ plays every single week, but I will try to emphasize very strongly those situations each week where a player or defense feels like an automatic play for me as I have done in a couple of situations this week. I want to give you the tools to be able to build your teams each week so that by the end of the season, you get to my column and have a pretty good outline of how you want to construct your team and my column provides you with the insight to get you to those last 3-4 plays that you have not quite figured out yet.
