The Daily Spin – Thanksgiving Day Preview

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are all preparing to enjoy some turkey and NFL with us this week. I am at home for the holiday this year which means that I will be enjoying the scene from my couch, with a perfectly cooked Thanksgiving meal with a cocktail in hand and a tripleheader to pass the day. With plenty of DFS contests to keep us entertained, it is always a lot of fun and a slate we have had success with over the years.

In looking at these games, the NFL has given us a somewhat questionable slate to work with. There are a lot of very fantasy unfriendly teams the are playing tomorrow. This is unfortunate in that we would like to see six relevant teams on the slate so that ownership can be somewhat dispersed. If you have been paying attention to the world of DFS over the last few days, you have likely heard about some of the controversies among the community and overlap among many players with their lineups. While this is an issue that I have addressed and will likely address again, set aside those concerns this week.

There are going to be a lot of lineups that are duplicates this week, especially if you are playing cash games so don’t get too wound up over that this week. In cash games, it will likely come down to one or two plays in either direction that determine your success. The key is going to be to know when to pick your spot and in making sure you do not miss out on the most key chalk plays for the week.
