Thursday Night Showdown Slate Article- Chargers at Raiders

It isn’t exactly a battle of the titans on Thursday night when the Chargers visit the Raiders, but it a bit more interesting than it might have been a few weeks ago.  The Raiders won last week against the Lions bringing them back to .500 and the Chargers put a thumping on the Packers to follow up a win in Chicago the previous week.  The Chargers are a 1 point favorite and the game total is 47.5.  This is an interesting match-up as the Raiders defense is very tough against the run (7th least rushing yards allowed per game-92.5 and 3.72 yards per carry), but give up the NFL’s most yards through the air (297.5).  The Chargers on the other hand are tough against the pass (5th least yards allowed through the air-208.7), but can be had on the ground (bottom third in the NFL-114 yards per game and 4.49 yards per carry).  With these facts alone you should be able to build some lineups that have positive correlation and that make a lot of sense.  I will break-down all of my plays for this Showdown Slate and hope that we can stay hot!
