Thursday Night Showdown Slate- Ravens @ Dolphins

Lines:

Ravens (-7.5) @ Dolphins

O/U = 46.5

DVOA

Ravens against the run #12
Ravens against the pass #23
Dolphins against the run #18
Dolphins against the pass #22

Favorites:

Lamar Jackson, $13,800

  • A must in every showdown slate, Jackson has the highest ceiling of anybody in this game by far.
  • 20+ DK points in all but one game this season.
  • Most his value comes with his legs, but the Dolphins secondary has been poor this year, so he likely will throw at least 1-2 TDs to go with running in one.

Marquise Brown, $11,000

  • Took a while to get involved last week against MN, but when he did he exploded for 9/116.
  • 3 games over 100+ receiving yards and six TDs.
  • Dolphins secondary has been a huge disappointment this season and have actually allowed the 3rd most DK points to WRs.

Jaylen Waddle, $12,300

  • With Devante Parker out, Waddle has become the clear #1 wide out for the Phins.
  • 43 targets in the last four games is massive volume and his production has been good as well with 29 catches for 265 yards and 2 TDs.
  • Good game script for Dolphins pass game.

Myles Gaskin, $9,400

  • I am more interested in Gaskin’s prowess catching the ball in this game than running.
  • Dolphins will likely be down and Gaskin generally sees a ton of targets (5 per game).
  • Gets the ball at the goaline for the Dolphins and could also see 10-15 carries even if Miami is playing from behind.

Value:

Mike Gesicki, $7,400

  • Whether it is Tua or Brissett, both keep it to short pass routes, which make Gesicki a great option.
  • Over 7 targets per game this season.
  • Ravens have actually been soft against the tight end position this year allowing the 4th most DK points per game.

Devonta Freeman, $6,600

  • Murray still looks to be out and if that is the case Freeman will get the majority of the workload.
  • In Murray’s absence Freeman has 175 total yards, 5 catches, and 2 TDs in three games.
  • Likely to see 10-12 carries with the positive game script for the Ravens, and has been in at the goaline for the Ravens.

Sleepers:

Rashod Bateman, $5,800

  • Has emerged the last few weeks with 12 catches on 20 targets the last three games. Had a couple really nice catches last week against MN.
  • Watkins still likely out, so Bateman will remain #2.
  • A great discount option at WR to pick on the Dolphins bad secondary in this game.

Justin Tucker, $4,000

  • Capable of knocking down a couple of 50-yarders and producing value for his price.
  • If the Ravens can move the ball (as expected), but just can’t punch it in, then Tucker could give us a 13+ point night.

Deep Sleepers:

Preston Williams, $200

  • Important to make sure he is active, as he has been a healthy scratch the last two weeks.
  • A punt option who could see a few targets with Parker and Fuller still out.

Possible lineups:

C- Jackson, Bateman, Freeman, Duvernay, Gesicki, Tucker

C- Jackson, Bateman, Waddle, P Williams (IF HEALTHY), Gesicki, Freeman

C- M Brown, Jackson, Bell, Ravens, Ahmed, Waddle
